I think we can all agree that using reflectors/diffusers is a pain sometimes. Most of the time, we need assistants and when it gets windy, we’re practically sailing!

What I often found was that I had to bring two tools with me along with the backpack and camera setup while taking portraits/engagements. This was such a hassle!

The Lastolite Difflectors are our go-to’s. They’re handy and convenient and double up for my portrait sessions. I personally like using the Lastolite 30” Tri-Grip Difflector because it’s the perfect size for run-and-gun. Not to mention that the diffuser part is a 2-stop diffuser.

If it’s really harshly lit outside, I opt for the Lastolite 48” 2-Stop Diffuser. This thing works great for just about anything/ It’s not overwhelmingly big, but gives you just the right amount of coverage.

Using difflectors has really changed how my work turns out. Often during golden hour, I’ll find that my subject isn’t lit very well and these difflectors really highlight my subjects in a very natural, glowing way. I recommend these to any portrait, wedding, or fashion photographer. It really gives you the flexibility without having to lug around a lighting setup.

You can find all of the reflectors/diffusers/difflectors here! How do you like them?
