Majo Chudy got really creative with timelapses and ended up setting up a small studio in his home with grow lights and blankets to capture flowers blooming. You would never think watching flowers bloom would be interesting, but when you watch the video, you can’t help but marvel at the miracles of nature. And of course, like all timelapses, it wasn’t as easy as it sounds.
Apparently this three-minute video took six months to film. And his gear?
A Nikon D5100 and D5200 to capture images every one-to-two minutes. Things get even more complicated because every flower blooms at different paces. For example, the dandelion bloomed really quickly while the orchid took up to 65 hours. In his post-production, he was able to match speeds and add movements to the shots. The final product of his hard work is a 4K video that doesn’t cease to amaze. Enjoy this flower timelapse!
