The Canon EOS 80D Digital SLR improves on the 70D with a major boost in AF points and an increase in 1080p shooting frame rate from 30 FPS to 60 FPS. It also sports a headphone jack port in addition to the microphone port and includes a port for a remote trigger. This camera maintains the Dual-Pixel AF system for continuous smooth and silent autofocus and, like the 7D Mark II, pairs well with STM lenses, such as the Canon EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM or the Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM. The high number of focusing points, Movie Servo AF, full HD recording in 60p, expanded ports, and a large 3" touchscreen LCD makes this camera ideal for videographers, while the high ISO sensitivity, fast continuous shooting, and a pop-up flash that offers off-camera Speedlite control makes it equally ideal for sports, wildlife, and event photographers. This camera is particularly ideal for videography/still hybrid shooting for events.
